Regional Expert - Intelligence Analysis

We are continuously seeking experienced Regional Experts to join our intelligence network. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge geopolitical analysis and strategic intelligence across multiple focus areas including Mongolia, Afghanistan, Central Asia, South Caucasus, Russia and its neighborhood, Iran, and China and the Pacific region.

As a Regional Expert, you'll provide deep insights into regional dynamics, political developments, economic trends, and security implications. You'll work with our international team to deliver comprehensive intelligence briefings and strategic analysis to our network of subscribers and partners.

This is a permanent position with multiple openings available. We welcome applications from experts across all our focus regions.

Requirements & Expertise

Required Expertise

  • Deep regional knowledge in one or more of our focus areas
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in intelligence, research, or geopolitical analysis
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in International Relations, Political Science, or related field
  • Experience with intelligence community or government agencies
  • Proficiency in regional languages
  • Published research or analysis in relevant fields
  • Network of regional contacts and sources

We are seeking a motivated Software Development Intern to join our team in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to real-world projects while developing your technical skills in a professional environment within an international team with exciting product vision and seasoned engineering expertise.

You'll gain exposure to modern development practices, cloud technologies, and full-stack engineering principles. This internship is perfect for someone looking to bridge their academic knowledge with practical industry experience while contributing to scalable, well-architected solutions.

Internship duration is set to 3 months but can be completed part-time after the first month.

Requirements & Skills

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of web-apps architecture and solid knowledge of Javascript, CSS and HTML
  • WordPress development experience
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Most importantly enthusiasm for Software Engineering and willingness to learn independently!

Nice to Have

  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and ideally of Node.js

What We Offer

  • Fair compensation of 300k tenge net per full-time month or 150k tenge net per part-time month
  • Mostly remote work with the requirement to visit on-site synchronization sessions 3-4 times a month in full-time or 2 times a month in part-time
